Description
Marc Delienne makes his Avalanche de Printemps from the Gamay variety from his Les Déduis estate, in Fleurie, Beaujolais, France. Marc sold his IT company and, in 2015, set up shop at Chateau de L'Abbaye to biodynamically make some of the most vibrant wines in all of Fleurie and, we would say, all of Beaujolais. Small yields, production in concrete using the carbonic maceration system, aging in foudres, give rise to wines that achieve great precision despite having minimal additions of sulfur. It is incredible to find that aromatic cleanliness in wines made in a minimally interventionist way. This Greta Carbo, which refers to the traditional production method in Beaujolais (Carbo = Carbonic) in a happy play on words, comes from a farm with shallow sandy soils. IN the glass it is shown in the match and the red fruit. A wine that drinks well in all phases and can be stored.
