Origin: Old Garnacha vineyard in the Alto Alberche Valley (Sierra de Gredos). Mid-slope, maximum gradient, with outcrops of granitic bedrock on the surface.

Soil: Granitic, with a loamy-sandy texture. High silt content, which contributes finesse, elegance, and a “limestone-like” length to the wine.

Vinification: Hand-harvested at dawn with meticulous selection in the vineyard and winery. 100% whole cluster. Grapes gently crushed during the first 5 days until spontaneous fermentation begins. 58 days of very gentle maceration (infusion) for delicate extraction. 9 months of aging in 600-liter used Darnajou fudre. Natural clarification and stabilization during aging. Bottled unfiltered. Limited, numbered production of 640 bottles and 53 magnums.

Tasting Notes: Bright ruby color with some transparency, low intensity. Expressive and complex on the nose: red fruit (currant, wild strawberry, cherry) woven into a complex web of withered flowers (white lily, rose), incense, and white pepper. Delicate and elegant on the palate, with a fine texture (like silt or chalk), yet tense and piercing, with great depth and a vibrant finish. Classicism and purity.
