Luis Seabra Mono A Dao is a red wine made by Luis Seabra with the Alfrocheiro variety in the Portuguese Dao region. It is a vineyard over 35 years old located in Vila Nova de Tázem, in the Baixo Corgo region. From granitic sandy soils and an approximate altitude of 460 meters.
The wine is harvested by hand, fermented with indigenous yeasts with 40% stems in 5,000-litre oak vats. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 14 months in oak foudres from Eastern Europe.
The Alfrocheiro is a very aromatic variety when harvested when ripe. It maintains the acidity very well and has very soft tannins. Easy to drink, it goes very well with meat dishes, mushroom sauces, vegetable stews and many pasta dishes.
