Antonio Madeira Tinto Colheita 2022

After his delicious Vinhas Velhas, Antonio Madeira presents his Tinto Colheita. It does not come from vines over fifty years old, but from the youngest estates and from grapes that he buys from other winegrowers in the area. Here is a clear example of CSR: it is grapes that do not have a buyer due to smallholdings, whose owners do not have the know-how to vinify and are condemned to start up until Antonio gives them a viability allowing them to put a wine on the market. more affordable price. Do not think that they are recent plantations, they are vines over fifteen years old.

In the cellar, the only non-wine element that is used is sulphurous (and in small doses), it is not macerated too much, nor is it extracted too much, since it tries to find finesse over grip.

We have known the project since its inception, and we found a positive evolution in search of that finesse. Highly recommended.

The wine ferments in dornas (vats) and is then aged in stainless steel and used French oak barrels for 18 months. Very small production.
