OKA is a basic Burgundy from estates that are not owned by Domaine but that Cyprien Arlaud cultivates and vinifies as an additional line to that of Domaine. Same qualitative standards at a slightly lower price. Cyprien Arlaud is very aware of the problem of dying of success that is affecting Burgundy. The family property has the size it has, the price of the vineyard is very high and small producers do not really have the ability to buy new vines to increase the production of the Domaine and thus solve a demand that continues to grow. So, a few years ago, it reached agreements with vineyard owners to handle their cultivation and introduce a new line, officially separate from that of the Domaine, but with the same qualitative standards. We do not speak in this case of buying grapes, must or wine, since Cyprien himself has control over the vineyard.
