The Clos de la Roilette is a beautiful estate in the part of Fleurie that borders Moulin à Vent. Its name comes from a famous horse that won numerous races almost a hundred years ago and was very famous in France, to the point that one of Alain Coudert's ancestors - current owner - gave the name to the vineyard and by extension to the wines. The horse can be seen, by the way, on the label. Alain Coudert works his basic Fleurie with the utmost respect for the old Clos vineyard, to which he adds up to 20% of grapes from other Fleurie estates, always over 50 years of age. It is a wine that we have tasted over several vintages and that has incredible tension and energy. There is no long aging, only crisp fruit, cleanliness and flavor. In addition to an extraordinary price.
