Description
Altos de Losada La Chana comes from a 50-year-old vineyard at 550 meters above sea level. 90% Merenzao with 10% other varieties from the area. It ages and ferments in used French oak barrels for 13 months. Only 306 bottles of a very fine and delicate wine. Losada represents, like few others, the potential of the Berciano terroir and its varietals: Mencía, Godello and Garnacha Tintorera. Small estates located on gentle slopes with clay soil in the surroundings of the towns of Cacabelos and Villafranca, in the most authentic area of ??El Bierzo, where the Atlantic climate enhances the character of century-old vineyards; to make wines with a philosophy of unhurried viticulture with little intervention that results in elegant and powerful wines that faithfully convey the particularities of the land in which they grow.
