Antonio Madeira
A Palheira is Antonio Madeira's latest wine. Made from two vineyards, one of which is 60 years old and the other 100. In the first, the Baga variety dominates, mixed with other varieties. In the second there is no caste. It is all mixed as is so usual in old Portuguese vineyards. As of 2018, the vineyard has been cultivated biodynamically, without using any synthetic product.

Antonio does not seek extraction, he only works by infusion. The idea is to get the best of the Serra da Estrela terroir and use indigenous yeasts, a very little interventionist production where the only external element is used French oak, a mix of 225 barrels and 600-liter barrels.
A fine wine, with very restrained alcohol, and with aging potential. La creme de la creme.
