Don Luciano Murrieta produced the first "fino" wine from La Rioja back in 1952, and was also the first to export it outside of Spain. He traveled to Bordeaux to learn the winemaking techniques used there and, reproducing the techniques he learned and the concept of a French Château, began producing his wines at Finca Ygay, thus creating an icon in the winemaking world of our country.
