Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine made by Inglenook Vineyards from the Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon variety in Napa Valley, United States.
One of the first Napa Valley properties to be farmed organically, back in 1994. The story of Inglenook is that of Gustave Niebaum, who almost a century and a half ago brought plants from Bordeaux to Rutherford Valley in Napa and began a history of success in those Californian lands. The wine comes from the Cohn, Red Barn, Garden, Lower Cask, Gio, Cask, Walnut, Creek and Chateau vineyards and is vinified in the traditional way, aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, 50% new. The wine represents the great Cabernet Sauvignon of California, with fruit, cedar and that Mediterranean scrubland and eucalyptus so common in Californian wines. RP93
