Don Luciano Murrieta made the first “fine wine” from La Rioja back in 1952, being also the first to export it outside the national territory. He traveled to Bordeaux to learn the production techniques used there and, reproducing the techniques learned and the concept of the French Chateau, he began to make his wines at Finca Ygay, thus building an icon in the wine world of our country. At present, and after becoming the property of the Cebrián-Sagarriga Condes de Creixell family, they set up the Pazo Barrantes Winery on family-owned land in the Salnés Valley, Pontevedra, and a brotherhood between perfect wineries is born, among reds and whites, between Rioja and Rías Baixas, always following the high standard of great wines.
"Dalmau Reserva 2016 had a very good growth and the harvest was at the end of September. It resembles a very young, elegant and powerful Bordeaux. It has gained in precision (fermented at 24 degrees Celsius, quite cold for a red wine), avoiding too much extraction, and this can be seen in the texture and quality of the tannins, lustrous, velvety, more elegant, concentrated and sophisticated. It has everything to be Dalmau's most elegant and fine vintage to date "(Luis Gutiérrez 94-95RP )
