Es un vino quizá difícil por su carácter directo, su ausencia de frutita fácil, pero recompensa sobradamente a quien busca la mineralidad y el terroir. Dominique es como sus vinos: inquieto, vibrante¦ pero a la vez con un poso de seriedad que define no sólo su personalidad sino su tesón tanto en el viñedo como en la bodega. Cree firmemente en la riqueza de los diferentes crus y en la diferencia que los diferentes terroirs supone en las diversas interpretaciones de la gamay que vinifica separadamente. Desde la riqueza de cuerpo del Morgon Cote du Py cuya finca se encuentra en la parte superior de la casa y bodega de Dominique, a la mineralidad impresionante de su Chenas Quartz, los vinos de Dominique Piron se despliegan en una panoplia de estilos digna de encomio. Las presentaciones de sus vinos son muy cuidadas, con buenas botellas y preciosas etiquetas juveniles y simpáticas como sólo un cuarentón como Dominique puede llegar a ser.
