Bertrand Sourdais is and will continue to be the “frenchman” that, attracted by a great wine project, arrived at the traditional, cold and unique Soria land back in 1999, although a part of his soul is already Sanestebeña (San Esteban de Gormaz). The values that contribute to being the fifth generation of winemakers in Chinón, where the Chateau de Pallus family winery is located, have served to make him fond of the vineyards and the people of that part of the Ribera del Duero, with its own identity. His search for excellence and precision in wines, leads him to discover vineyards of very old vines, La Mata is one of them.
