Desvignes Javernières Aux Pierres is a red wine made with the Gamay variety by Emmanuelle and Louis-Benoit Desvignes in their winery located in Morgon (Beaujolais), in France. It comes from an area of just half a hectare planted more than 90 years ago in the eastern area of Javernières. The soil is clay, made of schist, pyrites and decomposed eruptive rocks. A very old vineyard planted by the grandfather of Claude-Emmanuelle and Louis-Benoit, from a mass selection. It is made without chemicals in the vineyard, everything is done by hand, and the winemaking is traditional Beaujolais (carbonic) for 10 days. The wine is aged for 10 months in cement eggs.In the glass we will find a wine with delicious red fruit, currants and raspberries, a wine of pleasure to drink in its freshness.Louis-Benoit and Claude-Emmanuelle Desvignes are the eighth family generation of this Domaine that was founded in 1722. Morgonians to the max, they work 13 hectares of vineyards, of which 5 are located in what is probably the most famous vineyard in the entire Beaujolais: The Côte du Py, which the Desvignes now divide into different subplots. Desvignes wines are refined and classy. Louis and Claude want to make aging wines but not based on extraction. The wines are of great finesse and, although they age very slowly and with great evolution, they can be drunk perfectly when they are young. That is the magic of great wine, which is when young and when mature.
