Description
Lynch Bages 2018 is a red wine made by the Dillon family with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot in their own vineyards in Pauillac, Bordeaux, France.

Very deep purple-black in color, the nose is quite shy and restrained to begin with, spreading to offer pure ripe black currants, black cherries and canned plums with bursts of red roses, cigar box, incense, cardamom and fenugreek with salty touches. of black olives, toasted pots and smoked meats. Full-bodied, the palate is built like a brick house, with a solid base of very firm, very ripe granulated tannins and superb freshness that underpins the generous layers of black fruit, ending long with provocative ferrous hints.

The challenge in 2018 was not to overdo the extraction of grapes that were smaller and had a high skin-to-juice ratio, making it exceptionally concentrated. RP96
