La Quebrá is a red wine made by the Rico Nuevo Viticultores winery with the Garnacha variety planted on the "La Quebrá" plot in Navatalgordo. Plot of 0.3 hectares of old Garnachas close to 1,200 meters above sea level. Very complex wine, floral, spicy, very long and intense, with a marked mineral character and a present balsamic sensation. Vinification in stainless steel tanks, with 50% whole bunch. Mixed aging for 14 months in 400L French oak barrels and concrete tanks. 8 months in the bottle in the cellar. Bodegas Rico Nuevo are located in the town of Burgohondo, in the Alto Alberche Valley, on the north face of the Sierra de Gredos. They work in a totally ecological way about 12 hectares spread over more than 40 plots. The average age of the vines is 77 years, some being pre-phylloxera with more than 120 years. The soils of the plots are mostly sand from the decomposition of granitic rocks.
