Totally located in the commune of Saint-Julien, the Château Lagrange vineyard extends over 118 ha of red vines in one piece planted on two gravel hilltops, facing north-south. The estate has a clay-limestone subsoil, a silico-gravelly soil, and the climate is temperate and oceanic.
With an average age of the vines of 30 years and the wish to produce much more than a second wine, Les Fiefs de Lagrange remain an essential value in Saint Julien. This 2020 is no exception to this rule. In the purest style of the appellation, it embodies elegance, harmony and almost immediate accessibility. Like the Grand Vin, red and black fruits dominate. A tangy attack, an ample mid-palate, endowed with a good length: it has the qualities to also be able to age in the cellars of the most patient amateurs.
