This wine made with Bastard Negre planted in 1974 and in the glass, in shallow calcareous soils in the Les Terrases del Serral vineyard. The Bastard Negre on the estate was thought to be Monastrell until DNA analysis in 2012 confirmed variety mix-up. "Bastard Negre" is synonymous with Morastell, Morastel or Graciano among others. Plant resistant to drought, high temperatures and fungi, late sprouting and long cycle. Low productivity and rustic. Variety that provides aromas of wild fruits and undergrowth. On the palate it has a medium structure, very fresh with low pH. The wine ferments with native yeasts and is aged in qveri and French oak casks. Wines without sulfites, or additives in winemaking, nor does it use yeasts, sugars, or chemical products, to make the method as natural as possible. No temperature control.
