Description
Pequenos Rebentos Touché 2021 is a red wine made by Marcio Lopes using Bastardo, Alvarelhao and Caiño Tinto from the sub-area and Melgaco, in the heart of the Vinho Verde area, in northern Portugal.Marcio had an epiphany when, in 2012, he tasted one of those great Burgundy unicorn wines, a 2009 La Tache, and set out to make a wine that had the finesse and power of the great Burgundian wines. He tried it in the Douro and there he thought of and materialized great wines like Proibido Marufo and Clarete, but he wanted more tension. And he found her at Vinho Verde. There, with varieties such as Bastardo, Alvarelhao or Caiño Tinto he has managed to say Touché, and that is the name of the wine. A wine that is harvested manually, transported with care in small boxes, undergoes a 24-hour maceration before spontaneously starting fermentation in used barrels, where malolactic fermentation also takes place and remains for 8 months, followed by 12 months in the bottle. It is not filtered or stabilized. And in the glass, it's pure velvet. Very limited.
