Description

Castillo de Ygay is the great wine from the Marqués de Murrieta winery, located in Logroño. Led by Vicente Cebrián, Count of Creixell, it has achieved levels of quality that are not very accessible to most Spanish wines. Castillo de Ygay Gran Reserva 2010 has been named the best wine in the world by the prestigious American magazine Wine Spectator. Mostly Tempranillo with a small contribution from Mazuelo. This 1917 we do not know the final assembly given by its owner, at that time, Don Luciano Murrieta. We had the opportunity to taste a 1942 and it has been one of the great wines that we remember having drunk.
