Description

The Bota de Palo Cortado 118 ""Pata de Gallina"" is a traditional sherry wine, powerful and elegant, made from wines with oxidative aging. This traditional method creates a particularly fine and expressive palo cortado, with a very complex nose that combines aromas of oloroso and amontillado with citrus notes of orange peel.This wine comes from a selection made thirteen years ago of the finest barrels kept in oxidative aging by the almacenista Juan García Jarana. It has had three previous editions: La Bota de Palo Cortado 34 ""Pata de Gallina"" in 2012, La Bota de Palo Cortado 72 ""Pata de Gallina"" in 2017, and La Bota de Palo Cortado 98 ""Pata de Gallina"" in 2019. This is, therefore, the fourth release from a small solera of Equipo Navazos, housed in Fernando de Castilla in a set of barrels bearing their seal.The estimated average age of this wine is over 30 years.
