Acqua Vitae de Pergole Torte is a distillate made from the grapes of Le Pergole Torte -the vineyard- which are distilled by the master distiller Gioacchino Nannoni and aged for four years in small oak barrels. We might think that an Italian grape distillate has to be a grappa, but as Martino Manetti says very well, this distillate is so special that it transcends what traditional grappas represent. Its amber color and softness make us think of spirits like an Armagnac.
