Atrás ha quedado el mito gastonómico del orujo anónimo, descontrolado, áspero, seco, potente, que, en algún caso, era capaz de llevarse al audaz bebedor por delante. Es cierto que los había buenos, aunque eran cada vez más difíciles de encontrar. Y es que el noble oficio del aguardenteiro ambulante cargado con su pota, ha ido desapareciendo o degenerando, suplantado por la elaboración industrial. Sin embargo, parte de ese arte milenario, transmitido de padres a hijos, se ha conservado en los nuevos orujos gallegos. Es la recuperación, por la vía de la modernidad, de la calidad mítica del orujo más prestigioso y cotizado de España, pero afinado, superadas sus innecesarias asperezas. A partir de nuestro propio bagazo destilamos los aguardientes Porta do Miño. Su cuidada elaboración se inspira en la tradición artesanal de los poteiros de O Rosal, y en la exigencia para alcanzar los más altos niveles de calidad.
