AZORES WINES ACHIEVE TOP SCORES
AZORES WINES ACHIEVE TOP SCORES
This recognition not only confirms the extraordinary work beign done, but also consolidates the rebirth of a uniqe wine region, marked by volcanic soils, Atlantic climate and heroic viticulture unlike any other in the world.
Among the published ratings, the 97 points awarded to Vinha dos Aards 2023 stands out in particular, making it the highest- rated Azorean wine in history and the second-highest rating ever awarded to a Portuguese white wine.
Alongside it, the entire 2023 vintage shines: 96+, 96, 95+, 94+... each score is further proof that here, between black stone and ocean, something extraordinary is happening.

These wines are born where almost nothing should grow. They come from tiny plots, battered with the wind, tended by hands that work each wine as if it were unique. That is why there so few bottles. That is why they are so special. And that is why this recognition is not only technical, it is deeply human.
