San Martín de Unx, the origin of the project

Bodega Julia Roch e Hijos is located in San Martín de Unx, in the wine region of Navarra, an area defined by its climatic diversity and the influence of both Atlantic and Mediterranean conditions.

This environment allows the production of wines with a balance of freshness, ripeness, and varietal expression, especially in the case of Garnacha, a historic grape variety in the region.

A family winery founded in 1988

The project was founded in 1988 by Julia Roch and her children, establishing itself as a family winery with a strong connection to its own vineyards.

From the beginning, the goal has been to produce wines that reflect the character of the Navarre terroir, combining winemaking tradition with careful and attentive production.

70 hectares of estate-owned vineyards

The winery owns approximately 70 hectares of vineyards, ensuring full control over grape quality from the source.

The main grape varieties are Garnacha and Tempranillo, although Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Graciano are also cultivated, adding complexity and diversity to the wines.

Old vines and expression of terroir

A significant part of the vineyard is made up of old Garnacha vines, some over 70 years old, which contribute concentration, depth, and personality to the wines.

This plant material allows the production of wines with a strong identity and a clear expression of terroir.

Winemaking style

The winery follows a philosophy focused on varietal expression and respect for the grape.

Its red, white, and rosé wines are crafted to achieve balance, structure, and elegance, with a strong emphasis on fruit character and varietal typicity.

Notable wines

Among its best-known references is Viña El Pisón, made from very old-vine Garnacha, as well as the Julia Roch wine, sourced from younger vineyards.

They also produce crianza and reserva wines that reflect a more structured and evolved interpretation of the grape.
