Más información sobre Jean Lallement et Fils

Verzenay, one of the great villages of Champagne

Verzenay is one of the historic villages of the Montagne de Reims and one of the most renowned Grand Cru terroirs in Champagne.

Located between Reims and Épernay, this vineyard forms a natural amphitheater protected from the cold northern winds and with privileged sun exposure.

A perfect terroir for Pinot Noir

The chalky soils of Verzenay, combined with small layers of colluvium created by erosion, provide ideal conditions for Pinot Noir.

Here the grape develops an especially elegant profile, with aromas of red fruit, structure, depth, and the broad texture characteristic of the village.

A family connected to the vineyard since 1694

The history of the Lallement family in Verzenay has been documented since 1694, when the first records of winegrowers bearing this surname appeared in the village.

For generations, the family cultivated vineyards and sold grapes to local merchants, as was common in Champagne for centuries.

The birth of the maison

After the wine crisis of 1929 and the revolts caused by the collapse in grape prices, Jean Lallement decided to begin producing his own champagne.

The first bottles from the maison reached the market in the early 1930s, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the family.

Continuity and international vision

In the 1960s, Jean-Charles Lallement drove the development of the Jean Lallement & Fils brand, consolidating the family project.

Since 1999, Jean-Luc Lallement and Paula-Alexandra have continued the generational work, expanding the maison’s international presence without losing the artisanal character of their wines.

Vineyard work based on respect

The philosophy of the maison is based on a simple idea: great champagne is born first in the vineyard.

Each plot is worked using traditional methods and minimal intervention, seeking the natural balance of the vine and avoiding excessive treatments.

Precise winemaking without artifice

The wines are produced without added yeasts, without aggressive filtration, and without artificial refrigeration during vinification.

The wine remains aging in tank for many months before bottling, slowly developing complexity and aromatic depth.

Champagnes with a classic identity

Jean Lallement champagnes reflect the traditional style of the Montagne de Reims: structured, precise wines with a clear focus on Pinot Noir.

These are champagnes where power and elegance coexist without excess, always keeping the terroir at the center.
