At Coalla Gourmet, we present Island Bakery Organics, a brand born on the Isle of Mull, Scotland, the result of a personal project by Joe and Dawn Reade. Since its beginnings in 1994, when they started baking bread in a small converted garage in Tobermory, Island Bakery has evolved into an international benchmark for high-quality organic biscuits.

The Origin of Island Bakery Organics

After opening a delicatessen on Tobermory's colorful main street in 1996, Dawn noticed a lack of truly appealing organic biscuits on the market. With the idea of ​​creating a product that could travel beyond the island, Island Bakery Organics was born in 2001, initially with a range of just four varieties. From the outset, the brand prioritized quality over quantity, quickly gaining recognition from clients such as Harvey Nichols and Selfridges, as well as numerous Great Taste Awards and organic food accolades.
