Bodega El Reventón is a winemaking project born in the Sierra de Gredos mountains from a passion for high-altitude Garnacha grapes and old vines. A small, very personal project, it focuses on purity, freshness, and the authentic expression of a challenging terroir, characterized by quartz and slate soils.

At Coalla Gourmet, we present Bodega El Reventón, a unique project located in the Sierra de Gredos mountains, born from a deep love for this region and the unique character of its Garnacha grapes. Driven by Alejandro, along with Adrianna Catena, Dani Landi, and Gearóid Lane, El Reventón is the result of years of exploration, friendship, and a shared vision: to craft wines that accurately reflect the landscape from which they originate.

The heart of the project is El Reventón, a historic vineyard planted between 1943 and 1945, situated at 950 meters above sea level on a southeast-facing slope with poor quartz and slate soils. This estate is complemented by other valuable plots, such as La Reina in San Juan de la Nava and a small vineyard on the slopes of San Gregorio, completing a mosaic of old vines that define the winery's identity.

What characterizes Bodega El Reventón wines?

El Reventón wines stand out for their elegance, freshness, and mineral depth. The Garnacha grape, cultivated in extreme conditions of altitude and poor soils, yields wines with a delicate profile, great tension, and a very precise expression of the terroir. Winemaking is respectful and minimally interventionist, always seeking to preserve the natural personality of each vineyard.

The project relies on old vines cultivated with care and sustainability, where altitude and orientation play a key role in the slow ripening of the grapes.
