At Coalla Gourmet, we present Bodegas Cunqueiro, a Galician winery with nearly 100 years of history that has evolved without losing its family essence. Its origins date back to the 1920s, when Don Severino Fernández, known as “O Cunqueiro,” made wines in the traditional way for the taverns of Ourense, forging a reputation based on the quality and character of his wines.

Three Generations Linked to Wine

Since then, the winery has passed through three generations of the Fernández family. In the 1980s, his heirs consolidated the brand both within and outside of Galicia, modernizing facilities and focusing on quality as its central principle. Pioneers in the Ribeiro D.O.

They also produce the only single-varietal Torrontés in the region, reaffirming their innovative character and commitment to native varieties.
