Champagne Michel Laval, a family story

Champagne Michel Laval is much more than a wine: it is the legacy of the Laval family, who have worked the land with dedication and passion since 1870. It all began when Jules, our great-grandfather, inherited 40 hectares of farmland and planted grapes with the support of his son Jules, nicknamed Lucien. In 1948, our grandparents Roger and Fabienne (Lucien’s daughter) made a decisive step and began producing their own champagne, seeking to enjoy the fruits of their labor and create a product with a unique identity.

Our philosophy

We believe in patience, respect for the land, and authenticity. Each bottle of Champagne Michel Laval reflects the richness of Boursault’s terroir, cultivated with increasingly sustainable practices: reduced herbicide use, compost, and green fertilizers. Our goal is to convey the family values of sharing, emotion, and sincerity in every vintage, creating wines that celebrate life and meaningful moments.

Our passion

Aurore thrives in close contact with nature and the vineyards, while Florian focuses on winemaking to fully express the potential of the land. Michel Laval combines tradition and modernity, perpetuating knowledge passed down through generations and offering champagnes that are not only enjoyed but also bring people together and evoke childhood memories and shared moments. Every glass is a tribute to family, terroir, and the joy of celebrating together.
