A project born from the landscape

Companyia Vitícola Sileo was founded in 2013 in Cornudella de Montsant, Tarragona, by Agustí Torelló together with his son and his sister Lali.
The project was created with the idea of producing wines that faithfully reflect the landscape and character of Montsant.

After decades dedicated to wine in Penedès, the family found in Montsant a territory capable of offering a new viticultural expression.

Cornudella de Montsant and a unique environment

The winery is located in Cornudella de Montsant, in the northeastern part of Priorat, surrounded by the Montsant mountain range and the Prades mountains.

The vineyards stretch between 400 and 700 meters above sea level, across a landscape of slopes, terraces and plots with enormous geological diversity.

Slate, granite and calcareous marl form part of soils that bring personality and mineral tension to the wines.

Garnacha and Cariñena as the voice of the territory

Garnacha and Cariñena are the leading varieties of the project.
These native grapes allow the Mediterranean and mountainous character of Montsant to be expressed.

The wines show fresh fruit, spicy notes and a strong sense of balance and fluidity.

Organic viticulture and minimal intervention

Sileo’s philosophy is based on organic and sustainable viticulture, always seeking balance between the vine and its environment.

Intervention in the winery is minimal in order to preserve the natural identity of each plot and each vintage.

The goal here is not to tame the wine, but to accompany it.

Vineyard plots with their own identity

The project works with several vineyard plots such as Esporreres, Mas d’en Roca, La Parada and Partida del Codolar.

Each one contributes different nuances depending on orientation, soil and altitude, creating wines with depth and clearly defined character.
