Louis-Claude Desvignes

Louis-Benoît and Claude-Emmanuelle Desvignes are the eighth generation of this family estate, which was founded in 1722. As true natives of Morgon, they work 13 hectares of vineyards, of which 5 are located in what is probably the most famous vineyard in all of Beaujolais: Côte du Py, which the Desvignes now divide into different sub-parcels.

Le Cœur Battant is one of the cuvées from Domaine Louis-Claude Desvignes, a family-run winery located in Villié-Morgon, in the heart of Beaujolais.

The name of the domaine reflects the continuity of a family winemaking tradition passed down from generation to generation, where vineyard work and the identity of the terroir are fundamental.

Cuvée philosophy

“Le Cœur Battant” (the beating heart) represents the most vibrant and expressive part of the domaine’s work, where wine is understood as a direct interpretation of the terroir.
