Ángel Ceferino Carrión Medrazo (nombre real de Jean Leon) dedicó su vida a viajar y trabajar, desde camarero en Francia a recogeplatos y taxista en Nueva York (3055 era su licencia). En 1963 y tras montar su propio restaurante en Beverly Hills, compra 150 hectáreas en el Alto Penedés, y arriesga plantando como pionero en España Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot y Chardonnay, para empezar su andadura en la producción de vinos, y convertirse en un referente a nivel mundial.
