A winery with over 170 years of history

De Muller was founded in 1851 by Auguste de Muller and Ruinart de Brimont in Tarragona.
From its origins, the winery established itself as one of the pioneers of Catalan wine, combining tradition, trade, and technical development.

Across four family generations, the project has evolved into a benchmark of historic Catalan wine.

Tarragona: a territory with its own wine identity

The winery is located in the Tarragona region, an area with a long winemaking tradition dating back to Roman times.
The Mediterranean climate and diverse soils allow the cultivation of both local and international grape varieties.

This environment is key to the personality of its wines: ripe, expressive, and strongly linked to the land.

Mas de Valls and Priorat estates

Since 1996, De Muller has been based at the Mas de Valls estate, surrounded by its own vineyards.
It also owns parcels in Priorat, one of Spain’s most prestigious wine regions.

These estates allow full control over grape sourcing and ensure consistent quality across the range.

Traditional and Mediterranean grape varieties

The varietal work includes white grapes such as Macabeo, Chardonnay, and Moscatel, and red grapes such as Grenache, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir.
This diversity allows the production of everything from young wines to crianzas and complex solera wines.
