At Coalla Gourmet, we present Bodegas Ponce, a family project born from Juan Antonio Ponce's passion for reviving the viticultural richness of La Manchuela. Starting with historic vineyards planted in the traditional bush vine system with Bobal vines over 80 years old, Ponce has created wines that combine tradition, respect for the land, and meticulous winemaking techniques. The winery reflects the commitment of three generations to the authenticity of the terroir and the fullest expression of each variety.

After training at the Requena School of Viticulture and Enology and gaining experience in various regions and with renowned winemakers such as Telmo Rodríguez, Juan Antonio Ponce Jr. suggested to his father that they make their own wines. Since then, the winery has developed wines of great character and personality, respecting the value of the old vines and applying principles of biodynamic viticulture and natural soil management.

Ponce wines stand out for their authenticity, freshness, and ability to convey the essence of La Manchuela. Bobal, the main protagonist, is combined with recovered native varieties, while each plot is vinified separately to reflect its unique characteristics. The winery works without chemicals or artificial yeasts, and with viticulture that follows the lunar calendar, ensuring maximum concentration and quality of the grapes.

In the winery, the winemaking process is equally respectful: it adapts to the particularities of each vintage, and fermentation and aging are carefully managed so that each wine expresses the personality of its origin.
